Any lingering rain or snow activity should come to a full stop on Saturday as high pressure temporarily expands across the Central CONUS. An area of low pressure across Mexico is forecast to overspread the Gulf on Saturday, but any shower and thunderstorm activity will be relegated to areas offshore and along a cold front advancing southward toward the Yucatan Peninsula. The exception will lie across the state of Florida where the eastern portion of the cold front will make slower southward progress. However, no significant threats are anticipated.
