Moderate to heavy snow is likely Friday for portions of Northern Maine.

Upper Northeast:
The bulk of any significant winter weather over the next few days is expected on Friday as low pressure finally pivots across the Northeast and into the Atlantic. Snow, heavy at times, along the New England/Canadian border, and especially the northern portion of Maine, will be capable of producing 8 to 12 inches of snow with locally higher amounts also possible.
