Moderate to heavy rain will continue with an isolated risk for stronger to severe storms. Instability will remain limited, with coastal areas remaining the region of strongest instability. However, if stronger storms develop during the afternoon hours, a marginal risk for damaging winds and hail could occur.

New England: Locally heavy rainfall in excess of 2 inches may occur over this area as low pressure lifts northeastward into New England on Thursday. The threat for severe thunderstorm activity appears low at this time.
