Severe thunderstorms are possible Tuesday for portions of the Northern Mid Atlantic and Lower New England. Isolated strong thunderstorms are possible for portions of the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys into the Lower Plains.
Current NWS Advisories/Watches/Warnings in iMapPro:
Severe weather is anticipated tonight as a line of storms ahead of a shortwave trough and low level jet move toward the coastal areas of the Mid Atlantic and Lower New England. Damaging winds and embedded tornadoes will be possible. Activity will likely occur overnight tonight. Thunderstorms will also be possible along a frontal boundary from the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys into the Southern Plains. Although instability is weak, strong shear in place will allow for the potential for thunderstorms with hail and strong wind gusts.
