Isolated strong thunderstorms are possible for portions of the Mid-Mississippi Valley and Lower New England.
Ohio and Tennessee Valleys: A lesser risk for hazardous thunderstorms will exist on Tuesday as most of the upper-level forcing from Monday shifts eastward and out of the Middle and Lower Mississippi Valleys. Instead, an upper-level disturbance is expected to translate across the Midwest and into the Ohio Valley with shower and thunderstorm activity expected from Indiana/Ohio, southward, into the Tennessee Valley. Storms will be capable of isolated to 0.5 inch in diameter along with winds gusting in excess of 45 mph.
Lower New England: Increasing moisture associated with southerly winds over portions of Lower New England may allow for pockets of modest instability on Tuesday. Isolated storms, some strong, may carry a risk for winds gusting in excess of 45 mph by early afternoon.
