Showers and thunderstorms will expand in coverage this afternoon and evening across the Plains ahead of an upper level trough. Strong lift ahead of the trough will allow for thunderstorms across portions of Western Kansas and North Central Nebraska. Small hail and gusty winds to 50 mph will be possible.
