Ongoing thunderstorm activity across Iowa will continue through the afternoon, but additional development will be possible ahead of outflow boundaries. Plentiful moisture to the east of a lee trough will allow for further destabilization. Deep shear will allow for supercells capable of hail and damaging winds. This activity will evolve into a squall line and move into Illinois overnight tonight.
