There areas of severe weather potential for portions of the Plains, Midwest, and Great Lakes for Tuesday and Wednesday. An upper level trough over southern portions of Canada will dig into the Northern Rockies and Plains tomorrow. At the surface, dewpoints will increase into the upper 60s and lower 70s. This increase in moisture, combined with daytime heating, will allow for the potential for severe thunderstorms capable of large hail, damaging winds, and possibly tornadoes.
On Wednesday, the potential shifts to the east across portions of the Great Lakes and Mississippi and Ohio River Valley. Damaging winds appear to be the main concern with these storms.
