Showers and thunderstorms have developed across the Plains and Midwest along a cold front situated across portions of Kansas and Nebraska. More thunderstorms will be possible through the afternoon as daytime heating continues to destabilize the atmosphere. As thunderstorms develop, hail and damaging winds will be the main concern, but isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out.
