Showers and thunderstorms will be possible Tuesday across portions of the Central Plains and Midwest; some severe thunderstorms possible. Showers and general thunderstorms will be possible for the Great Basin/Four Corners region and across the Southeast and Gulf Coast.
Conditions calm somewhat by Tuesday as high pressure over the Central CONUS and a western trough becomes shunted northward into the Northern High Plains. A few isolated stronger to severe storms could occur during the afternoon hours through the Central Plains as low pressure begins to deepen in Central Colorado. Storms reaching severe levels will remain isolated at best with wind gusts over 50 mph and hail the primary threats. Showers and sub-severe thunderstorms will however be possible across the Central Plains, and into the Great Lakes and also across the Southeast/FL.
