Thunderstorms and heavy rain are possible today for portions of the Pacific Northwest and Rockies. General thunderstorms will be possible for portions of the Gulf Coast, Ohio River Valley, and New England.

Severe weather is not anticipated over the next few days due to high pressure over the eastern US. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible along a front across the Ohio Valley, but no significant impacts are expected. Elsewhere, showers and thunderstorms will be confined to the Gulf Coast and New England. A weakening upper level low will linger across the Pacific Northwest and maintain showers and thunderstorms from Washington into the Four Corners region. Heavy rain will also be possible for portions of the Midwest and Northern High Plains where over an inch of rain is possible in some areas.
