There is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms on Thursday across the Northern Rockies. Across the High Plains, general thunderstorms are possible.
The risk for severe thunderstorms across the northern Rockies due to an area of low pressure and cold front moving eastward through the region. Storms will develop during the afternoon and evening. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main threats. Additional thunderstorms will be possible across the High Plains and Southern Rockies. No severe weather is expected, but some of the stronger storms will have the potential for hail and gusty winds.
