Scattered thunderstorms and heavy rain are likely today for the Central Plains, Missouri Valley, and Midwest. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible for the Intermountain West and High Plains.

Although there is some ongoing shower and thunderstorm activity, no widespread activity is expected. Activity across Missouri into Oklahoma will weaken and develop once again across Arkansas, Missouri, and into the Midwest. Small hail and gusty winds will be the main concerns. Upslope flow across the Central Rockies will initiate storms, but severe thunderstorms are not expected due to the lack of instability.
