Helping Business Weather the Storm

National Weather Summary for Friday, July 25, 2014

by WeatherOps, on Jul 25, 2014 9:43:07 AM

The low pressure over the western U.S. has dampened a significant amount in the past 24 hours with a ridge pushing over the central U.S. states and a trough pushes off into the Atlantic. Some isolated to very widely scattered thunderstorms will be possible mostly for the Central Plains and into the upper Mississippi Valley. Large hail and locally strong wind gusts will be the primary risks. A few strong storms capable of localized damaging wind gusts could also occur across the southern Mid-Atlantic coast.

Heat advisories continue through portions of the Plains through tomorrow. Heat indices could exceed 100 degrees in portions of Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas.
