Severe thunderstorms are possible today across portions of the Rockies and into the Northern and Central Plains.
Current NWS Advisories/Watches/Warnings in iMapPro:
A front lingering over the Central and Northern Plains in addition to a strengthening jet stream will allow for the potential for severe weather today. Thunderstorms should initiate either along the front or the higher terrain, moving eastward. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main concerns. Some storms could cluster, leading to heavy rain from portions of Nebraska through Illinois. Over two inches of rain, with locally heavier amounts, is possible, allowing for flooding and possible landslides.
