Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible today for portions of the Central High Plains. General showers and thunderstorms will be possible across portions of the Southeast.
Current NWS Advisories/Watches/Warnings in iMapPro:
A strong trough over the Northern Plains will allow for the chance of severe weather. This trough, combined with a front over the region will allow for strong to severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds being the primary concerns. High pressure over the Carolinas and Georgia will allow for some showers and thunderstorms along the coast. 2-3 inches of rain with isolated higher amounts will be possible.
