Thunderstorms are developing over portions over the Northern Plains ahead of a shortwave moving across the Rockies. At the surface, plentiful moisture and day time heating will allow for the development of thunderstorms. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main concerns, but an isolated tornado can't be ruled out.
