Severe thunderstorms are possible on Friday for portions of the Northern and Central Plains. Flooding in some areas will also be possible. Overnight thunderstorm activity will continue to move eastward into Friday morning with up to an inch of rain possible for portions of the Northern Plains. By the afternoon, showers and thunderstorms will develop will develop from Montana to Kansas along a frontal boundary where up to 2 inches of rain will be possible. Some storms could be severe with the potential for large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes. Localized flooding will also be possible. Showers and thunderstorms will also be possible across the Gulf Coast. While storms are expected to remain under severe limits, strong winds and small hail will be possible.
