Severe thunderstorms will be possible on Thursday for portions of the Central and Western High Plains. Showers and thunderstorms (isolated severe) will be possible for portions of the Midwest and Ohio River Valley.

The same trough bringing showers and thunderstorms to portions of the Northern Rockies will continue to strengthen and bring showers and thunderstorms to portions of the High Plains. Large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes will be possible. Further east, showers and thunderstorms will be possible through portions of the Midwest and Ohio River Valley ahead of a shortwave trough. Showers and thunderstorms will develop through the afternoon and evening. Hail and damaging winds will be the main concerns.
