There is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms today across portions of the Southern Plains and the Lower Mississippi Valley.
Remnants from the convection overnight will be the focus for thunderstorm development later this afternoon. As thunderstorms develop, large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes will be possible. The tornado potential will be greatest across Central and West Central Texas.
