Severe thunderstorms are possible on Thursday along the east coast and across the Southeast, as well as the Lower Mississippi River Valley and the Plains. The threat for the east coast and Southeast will be ahead of a front moving through the region. A quasi-stationary boundary over the Lower Mississippi Valley into the Plains will provide a focal point for heavy rain and flash flooding.
