Severe thunderstorms are likely today across portions of the Plains and Mississippi River Valley ahead of a cold front moving through the Plains. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is currently in effect for portions of South Central Texas until 7pm CDT. Strong shear will allow for the potential for supercells. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main concerns with these storms.
