Scattered showers and isolated severe thunderstorms will be possible Thursday along the Gulf Coast. Across the Midwest and Ohio River Valley, isolated severe thunderstorms will be possible.

A shortwave will move across the Central Plains and into the Upper Mississippi Valley and will initiate the development of showers and thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon. The main threats will be large hail and damaging winds, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
