Hazardous Weather Outlook for Saturday, March 22, 2014

Written by WeatherOps | Mar 21, 2014 9:12:08 PM

Light to moderate snow will continue for portions of the Northern New England region. Moderate snow will continue for the Central Rockies. Thunderstorms will be possible for portions of the Lower Mississippi River Valley. Severe weather is not anticipated.

As a cold front continues to push through the central and lower Mississippi River Valley and into the Southeast, shower and thunderstorm activity will continue ahead of it. Moisture and instability will allow the potential for thunderstorms to continue for much of the day across the Southeast. Another disturbance moving across the Rockies may bring some light to moderate snow to portions of the Rockies and the Central High Plains. Showers are also possible for portions of California, with a few thunderstorms possible. A clipper system may bring some light snow to Northern New England, but no major accumulations are expected.
